PEOPLE BOMB
Influenced by classic punk rock, School music programs and drawing from the gamut of popular and unpopular western music from the past and present, People Bomb are four 17 year olds with their own very particular and unique slant on music. The band consists of singer Garrison Whaley, drummer Alex Anderson, bassist Jade Rosse and guitarist Ryan Keyes. Known for their engaging and ruckus live shows that border on performance art, the quintet has been blowing minds and steadily building a fanbase in the greater Seattle area since 2010 (when they were freshmen attending Jaunita High School!).
In the summer of 2011 the kids hooked up with brothers Mike and Josh Davis (SEACATS) at their Whimsical Studios in Kelso Washington and recorded 12 tracks that range stylistically from funk-grunge-rap to sorrowful alt-punk to rock-folk and on and on. The recordings also incorporate a wide variety of instrumentation such as stand-up bass, acoustic guitar, synthesizer, harmonica, organ, and crowd vocals.
Fin Records is proud to be releasing People Bomb's 7” vinyl debut “East Korea”, a tune that recalls the Dead Kennedys "Holiday in Cambodia” and puts the band in a position of propaganda administrators for a fictional, Utopian, communist dictatorship. People Bomb, people... People Bomb.
